Mississippi Day #1

We headed out Sunday morning for Biloxi, MS.  Why Biloxi?  Guess it's not the usual vacation spot but we love it.  One reason was because we went there last year for spring break and it rained 2 of the 3 days we were there.  Another reason we love it is because it's not crowded!  No one thinks to go to Mississippi for vacation so the beaches aren't crowded and you don't have long lines waiting for anything.

Day #1 of our vacation was Monday.  We spent the morning at the beach and the afternoon at a cool children's museum they have down there - the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.

Giant Lite Brite board!

Wheelchair basketball.

Adam spent a lot of time in this area.  There was a weather board, a news desk, and an ocean background where you could do the news/weather.  You could see yourself on a television screen.  He loved this part!

Summer!

 Pigtails!

Bradley built the kids a swingset for our new house.  He's amazing!  And yes...that's Ellie in the baby swing and Emma on the big swing.

Rain Rain...

Emma picked out an umbrella at the store and luckily for her it rained that day!

Book Walk

The Parks and Rec Department and the Library partnered up and put a Book Walk at Quail Ridge Park.  There are 16 posts around the lake with a page on each from the book Berlioz the Bear by Jan Brett.  So while the boys were camping with Scouts us girls checked it out.  We some wetlands with a little bridge that we checked out too.  We saw lots of wildlife sincluding a big turtle in the lake, dragonflies, butterflies, and lizards.

Vacation Bible School

They whined and complained for weeks saying they didn't want to go but after 5 minutes on the first day they loved it!  They both ended up with the same teachers as last year so that helped.  And they enjoyed having the teenagers helping.  This was on the last day at their performance where they sang songs.  Adam must have liked it because he was actually singing and doing the hand gestures.

Build a Bear

Adam asked to go to Build a Bear as part of his birthday and we finally made it.  Emma got a heart covered bear, Adam got a dog and it's puppy, and Ellie got a My Little Pony.

They wanted to ride the escalators.

Helloooo!

It's been forever, I know!  I'd like to try to start this up again.  With three kids, work, and life in general I don't have much time but I do enjoy having this record of my life.

To catch up:

Adam just finished up second grade and turned 8.  He's currently playing baseball but throughout the year also does soccer, basketball, and Boy Scouts.  He just made his 1st Communion in May and that was very exciting.

Ellie just finished up kindergarten and is about to turn 6.  She's currently doing gymnastics.  This year we decided to step away from dance for awhile and to also give up on soccer.  She did enjoy her first session of coach pitch baseball this past spring.  She also loves Girl Scouts which has proven to be lots of fun.

Emma is 2.  Need I say more?!  She's a great addition to our family.  She's a ham and will make you smile no matter the day you've had.  She will start preschool this fall, going ahead a jumping into the three year old room, where I have no doubts she'll do fantastic.  She started gymnastics this year and loves it.  She also loves to read, sing, and play outside.

As for other things.  We bought a new house in October and moved November 1st, just a mile or so from our old house.  This house had more space, a great layout, and a good neighborhood and we're still loving it here.

Bradley still works at Boeing.  He's getting ready to embark on the MR340 adventure in July, kayaking down the Missouri from Kansas to St Charles, MO.  He still plays basketball and runs when he has time.

I'm still working from home, doing web design and bookkeeping.  I have three clients that sure keep me busy.  I also am trying to get back into quilting.  Ellie's room when we moved was already painted purple so I started a quilt to match her room which I'm hoping to complete in a week or two.

That's all for now.

37 Weeks

I don't have a picture yet but I'm 37 weeks and very ready to have this baby girl!  Started having some random contractions this week but unfortunately they aren't doing anything since I wasn't dilated at all today at my checkup.  My blood pressure was back up a bit so we're watching that and I spend the majority of my day lazing around, resting my hands that are constantly numb and hurting.  And trying to catch a few minutes of sleep since it's pretty much impossible to sleep at night.
