Happy 6th Birthday Ellie!

Ellie's 6!  Not sure how than can be but it is.  She decided on an ice cream bar/water play party this year.  11 girls showed up and had a blast!  There were tons of toppings to choose from for our ice cream.  Then we had over 200 water balloons (that lasted all of 5 minutes!) and each girl got a water gun.  Then we decided to also get the sprinkler out too.  It was fun!  Ellie just ran in here as I'm typing this to say "Best Birthday Ever!"

On her actual birthday Friday we didn't do too much since we had just gotten home from vacation at midnight the night before.  Bradley took them to Jump 4 Fun while I went shopping for the party.  Then we all had Orange Leaf for a snack.

Tons of toppings!  Marshmallows, sour patch kids, oreos, chocolate chip cookies, rainbow and chocolate sprinkles, cookie dough bites, sixlets, peanut butter cups, mini kit kats, gummi bears, M&Ms, twizzlers, nerds, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and whipped cream.

Mississippi Day #3

Day 3 included more walks on the beach and an awesome shrimp boat tour.  We wanted to ride the boat 11 miles out to Ship Island but the kids weren't lasting very long on the beach so we decided a 70 minutes shrimp boat tour would be better.  And it was!  The kids got to ride a boat which in itself was exciting.  Then they got to watch as the net was put in the water and pulled in to see what was caught.  They liked watching the seagulls attacking everything that was thrown back in and Ellie was brave enough to hold a shrimp!

We found several hermit crabs.  The kids kept them in a "pool" for awhile on the beach and Adam kept three overnight on our last night but we decided to let them go before we left.

 Shrimp Boat Tour

Lunch after the shrimp boat tour.  And a worn out Emma!

Mississippi Day #2

Day 2 we went straight to the beach!  They have an area where you can rent umbrellas and chairs and these aquacycles.  The cycles were harder than we thought but was fun to try.

That afternoon we went to the Institute for Marine Mammals Studies where they take you around to see and touch different animals and put on a dolphin and sea lion show.
 Horseshoe crabs.

 Touching a baby alligator!
