Vacation Bible School

They whined and complained for weeks saying they didn't want to go but after 5 minutes on the first day they loved it!  They both ended up with the same teachers as last year so that helped.  And they enjoyed having the teenagers helping.  This was on the last day at their performance where they sang songs.  Adam must have liked it because he was actually singing and doing the hand gestures.

Build a Bear

Adam asked to go to Build a Bear as part of his birthday and we finally made it.  Emma got a heart covered bear, Adam got a dog and it's puppy, and Ellie got a My Little Pony.

They wanted to ride the escalators.

Helloooo!

It's been forever, I know!  I'd like to try to start this up again.  With three kids, work, and life in general I don't have much time but I do enjoy having this record of my life.

To catch up:

Adam just finished up second grade and turned 8.  He's currently playing baseball but throughout the year also does soccer, basketball, and Boy Scouts.  He just made his 1st Communion in May and that was very exciting.

Ellie just finished up kindergarten and is about to turn 6.  She's currently doing gymnastics.  This year we decided to step away from dance for awhile and to also give up on soccer.  She did enjoy her first session of coach pitch baseball this past spring.  She also loves Girl Scouts which has proven to be lots of fun.

Emma is 2.  Need I say more?!  She's a great addition to our family.  She's a ham and will make you smile no matter the day you've had.  She will start preschool this fall, going ahead a jumping into the three year old room, where I have no doubts she'll do fantastic.  She started gymnastics this year and loves it.  She also loves to read, sing, and play outside.

As for other things.  We bought a new house in October and moved November 1st, just a mile or so from our old house.  This house had more space, a great layout, and a good neighborhood and we're still loving it here.

Bradley still works at Boeing.  He's getting ready to embark on the MR340 adventure in July, kayaking down the Missouri from Kansas to St Charles, MO.  He still plays basketball and runs when he has time.

I'm still working from home, doing web design and bookkeeping.  I have three clients that sure keep me busy.  I also am trying to get back into quilting.  Ellie's room when we moved was already painted purple so I started a quilt to match her room which I'm hoping to complete in a week or two.

That's all for now.

37 Weeks

I don't have a picture yet but I'm 37 weeks and very ready to have this baby girl!  Started having some random contractions this week but unfortunately they aren't doing anything since I wasn't dilated at all today at my checkup.  My blood pressure was back up a bit so we're watching that and I spend the majority of my day lazing around, resting my hands that are constantly numb and hurting.  And trying to catch a few minutes of sleep since it's pretty much impossible to sleep at night.

It is Missouri

We've had some crazy weather this year already!

This was Wednesday.  It was 55 degrees so we headed to the park after school.  Notice they aren't even wearing jackets!

Then this was the very next day!  We had about an inch of snow but it sure made the roads difficult and I couldn't get Adam to school so he enjoyed a snow day anyway.  The kids loved every minute outside, even though it was a frigid 17 degrees.  They've been begging for snow and were very happy to finally have some.

And of course we had to have hot chocolate every time we came in from the snow.

December Randoms

Waiting for Mommy's tires to get rotated.

Our 2nd Annual Nutcracker Ballet!  Afterwards Ellie got to pose with Clara and the Nutcracker.

Ellie said, "This will keep my hair out of my face!"

Breakfast with Santa

Adam's school hosts a Breakfast with Santa.  We had a yummy breakfast of pancakes, sausages, and eggs.  Then the kids got to go see Santa and color some pictures.  Adam loved it this year, although he wasn't feeling great.  Ellie refused at first but wanted to pose with the snowman.  Then she had Daddy take her up but she still wasn't comfortable being near Santa.

31 Weeks

Here I am at 31 1/2 weeks.  Things are going alright.  At my last checkup my blood pressure was elevated a little too high. But with no other symptoms I'm okay for now and go back in two weeks.  Still very swollen, tired and uncomfortable and I'm definitely ready to have this baby, but hope she waits a few more weeks until it's a little bit safer.  Funny thing today:  at the deli counter the lady asked when I was due so I told her 2/2.  She said "God Bless You!  Are you sure they have the date right?"  Then as I was checking out the cashier said I looked like I was ready to pop and when I told her I had two months left she asked if I was sure there weren't twins in there!  Just wait until they see what I look like in another month!
