What's Out There?

The cat was in the window the other day so the kids had to join him in looking outside. I just love pictures of Ellie and think she's so adorable! Adam has to jump in there too and copy everything she does lately. He really wants to be a baby again. It could be worse though so I'm not complaining too much. And Ellie's growing up so fast it won't last long!

Adam's Shirt After School

Adam came home from school last Thursday with a shirt covered in blue ink. I hope it washes out! The teacher said they did stamps that day and it was obvious that they did. There aren't many days that he doesn't come home without paint or ink or something on his shirt but it's not usually that bad. Guess I won't ever put a white shirt on him again!

Ellie's Climbing Stairs

Sunday was my nephew Joe's baptism we so headed to my sister's for the day. It wasn't fifteen minutes after we got there that Ellie was zooming up the stairs like she'd done it a hundred times. It was rather difficult with a dress on but she managed.

Ellie's 9 Month Checkup

Ellie had her checkup up yesterday. She weighs in at 18 lb 4 oz (50%), and was 28 1/8 inches long (60%). She dropped from 60% to 50% for her weight but the doctor wasn't concerned b/c he said most babies stop eating as much around 9 months, plus with her moving more that would happen. I need to start feeding her more and he said not to worry about her not eating as much formula so I'm not going to. She gets to start eating more "people food". She only had to get one shot this time so that was easy. Other than that she's doing great. He said to make sure all our safety stuff is in order b/c she's so mobile already and it made him nervous. Ha! It won't be long now before she's walking I don't think. I'd say another month or two at the most. She is already cruising all over the place and letting go of things and standing on her own. I can't believe she's already so big!

A Future Book Lover?

Ellie loves to sit in her room and "read" books. She'll disappear and we'll wonder where she went b/c she's being too quiet and there she is, pulling all her books out. She even opens them up and turns the pages. I love books myself, although have no time to read right now, and Adam does too so hopefully we've passed this trait onto Ellie.



She's also found the toilet paper and can open the toilet lid. Uh oh!

More Adam Sayings

One morning he woke up yelling for Bradley to come in his room. Usually he just gets up and crawls in our bed so Bradley goes in there and Adam says,

"Dada, any bears out there? I saw something on the floor and I go up and went in there and something got me."

He's big into bears and foxes and ghosts always coming after him now. I don't know where he gets that stuff.

Another thing I thought was funny is that for Giddy-up he says Gibby-up.

Then I guess this is something he learned at school but it was cute that he just started singing it one day:

Ellie

Ellie is changing and growing so fast! She's of course crawling all over the place but now is also climbing on things. I look over and find her standing on top of Adam's cars box, or in his chair trying to climb onto the couch, which luckily she can't figure out yet! She can also stand without holding on for almost half a minute. She's also teething again. She got her first top tooth last Friday, on her 9 month birthday. Now she's working on the other three top ones and it isn't pleasant. She goes Thursday for her checkup so I'll post more on that later. She's starting to eat finger foods too. She's had cheerios, french fries, carrots, potato, peaches, biscuit, blueberry muffin, pretty much anything I can give her off my plate when I'm eating b/c she just stares at you until you feed her too! I'm going to try sweet potato soon. She's not fond of carrots or potato but loved the peaches and breads. I'm trying to get her to eat more healthy finger foods aside from puffs and cereal or crackers.

I'm Finally Back!

Life has been kinda crazy lately and blogging has been the thing put on the back burner. But I'm trying to get caught up.

First of all it's been busy because I've decided to try to find some work from home. I did one thing that didn't really pan out. But now I'm selling Avon, which is proving to be a good thing, and I got a data entry position that's temporary but it's something. I just felt lately like doing some work, getting a few extra bucks, and things are starting to fall in place. Life seems like it's heading in the right direction now and I'm feeling better about myself. I think I needed this thing, some thing, to do. I like being busy but not necessarily things that have deadlines, like school! I'm exhausted b/c I've been staying up late but it's something I'm enjoying so it's fine.

This past Thursday to Saturday we went back to my sister's to babysit my newphew on Friday. It was interesting with those three kids but it was fun. Here are some pics from that.
