Apple Picking

Today we took the kids to the apple orchard to do some apple picking.  We have never gone before this year.  The kids always enjoy the other activities more than the actual picking but I'm ready for lots of baking with apples!

Picnic at the Park

The weather was beautiful today so after we picked Adam up from school we decided to have a picnic at the park.

Frogs, Ladybugs, and the Letter Aa

Ellie is in the "frog" room at preschool and Adam is in the "ladybug" room so their crafts the first week of school revolved around that.

This week Ellie did the color red (which I need to take pictures of) and Adam worked on the letter A.

Adam's First Day of Preschool

This was the first year Adam didn't cry when I left him for his first day of school!  I was so proud of him and he seemed like he had a really fun time.

Ellie was so excited to go to school today!  Once we got there she was a little nervous because it is a little chaotic at drop off/pick up times.  But after she got over being mad that her snack had to go in the snack bucket she sat down in her seat and started coloring her frog (because she's in the frog class).  No tears from Ellie and she said she enjoyed her day.  The only thing about this age is that she doesn't tell me very much about what she did.  But she says she wants to go back so I'm very proud of her!

While Ellie was at school Adam and I hit up Starbucks for some lemon bread and coffee.

A Day Full of Trains

I wanted to take the kids on one last bigger outing before school starts next week and they picked the Museum of Transportation.  The yesterday afternoon we went over to the park and the St Charles Model Train Club had their place open with their trains running so we checked that out too.
