and after.Adam was all excited for school until it was time to go. Then he threw a fit because for some reason he wanted to wear slippers instead of tennis shoes. I stayed for about 10 minutes before I left him there and he cried when I left. But only for a minute or so. I stood outside his room and listened until I thought he had stopped crying, which was only about a minute, before I left. When I picked him up his teacher said he did great and even went to the bathroom!
Here's what he said he did that day...talked about the number 6, played cars, went outside, colored a picture, had a snack, played with Lexi (not sure if that's a kid in his class or not but if not I don't know where he got that from!), and did a match.
I really like this place and I hope it will be a successful place for Adam. I like how they do numbers and such. They also do shapes and colors, which he already knows, but it will do him some good to review shapes. I just think the whole social aspect of it will do him some good and it won't hurt him to be away from me for awhile.
I'm thinking about starting up the Letter of the Week thing again. I found a better website for some more ideas but I'm not sure how much it helps Adam. I don't want to waste my time if he's not into it because then it's not fun for him and I have plenty of other things I could work on!
